Job Description

As a Full Time Unarmed Bike Patrol Security Officer in University City, Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients on a leading university's campus. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine bike patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will engage with students, staff, and visitors while providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. Pay Rate: $17.75 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, walkways, parking areas, residence areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
• Monitor access points and assist with directing visitors, verifying authorized entry, and reporting access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with Allied Universal supervision, campus representatives, and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be able to ride a bike.
• Preferred: Be able to ride a bike for long periods of time.
• Preferred: Be able to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
