Allied Universal is seeking a Full Time Unarmed Bicycle Patrol Security Officer at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. You will patrol campus by bike, deter incidents, and deliver excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors while maintaining a professional presence.

Requirements include two years of security experience, ability to ride a bike, a high school diploma, and successful completion of background checks and a drug screen.

Job Description

As a Full Time Unarmed Bicycle Patrol Security Officer at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a higher education setting. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a university location, you will monitor and patrol campus areas by bike, maintaining a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine rounds, respond to concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to students, staff, and visitors. Pay Rate: $17.75 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence halls, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate campus contacts and/or emergency responders according to site procedures.
• Monitor access points and report unauthorized access attempts, suspicious activity, and maintenance concerns through required communication channels and documentation systems.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident reports, and daily logs while maintaining a professional presence in a dynamic educational environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• Must be able to ride a bike.
• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
