Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for Palm Springs, CA. The role involves unarmed patrols, access control, and responding to alarms and incidents to protect employees and customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check will be performed as part of employment.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• License or licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local laws.
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles if applicable.
• Experience with alarm panels, access control, and badge systems is preferred.
• Must be able to use a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, and customers at a financial institution by carrying out site-specific security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations calmly and following protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, entrances, parking areas, ATM locations, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, and maintain logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, law enforcement, and leadership regarding security matters.

What You'll Do

• Provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, and/or customers at a financial institution by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, entrances, parking areas, ATM locations, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, law enforcement, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
