Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Threat Deterrence in Little Rock, AR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Security Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will represent Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, and innovative approach while working collaboratively with integrity in a caring, people-first culture.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to donors, visitors, and staff while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Maintain awareness of access points and visitor activity, assisting with controlled entry and reporting unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Carry authorized equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, applicable laws, and site requirements, and complete accurate incident documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Have at least four years of military or law enforcement experience or a criminal justice degree.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
