Job summary

Allied Universal® is seeking a Security Officer Armed Patrol Operations in Jacksonville, FL to protect clients across utilities and other sectors. You will perform armed patrols, maintain access control, and respond to incidents with professionalism.

The role requires at least 1 year in armed security or related fields, a valid armed guard card, and a high school diploma. The schedule includes nights and weekends, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and utility customers while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of utility facilities, substations, administrative buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document visitor, contractor, vehicle, and delivery activity in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate site personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
