Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer in West Des Moines, IA to patrol and safeguard a financial services location. You will perform armed interior and exterior patrols, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and maintain incident documentation while delivering professional customer service.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and access-control issues in a calm, professional manner.

As an Armed Security Officer at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $23.90 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Thur 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Fri 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sat 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a financial services location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed, and report security-related observations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain required reports and documentation, and handle assigned equipment in accordance with training, licensing requirements, and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
