Allied Universal is hiring for an Armed Response Patrol Driver in Windsor, NC. This role involves serving government locations with armed security, performing vehicle and foot patrols, and maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents.

You will provide exceptional customer service, follow post orders, and report incidents promptly while working with a team dedicated to integrity and reliability.

Qualifications

• Must have 6+ months armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Valid driver’s license required per policy.
• Armed guard card/licence preferred.
• Must be 21+ years old for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screening required by law and policy.
• Participation in industry-specific security training may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel while following site-specific policies.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, parking, and access points; report hazards and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally according to post orders.
• Monitor and control access by verifying credentials and screening visitors/vehicles; maintain logs.
• Complete reports, incident documentation, and shift communications as required.

As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM
• Tue: 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun: 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a government corrections location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, parking areas, and access points to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas by verifying credentials, screening authorized visitors and vehicles as assigned, and maintaining accurate activity logs.
• Maintain required armed patrol equipment and complete reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site‑specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
