Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Vehicle Patrol Driver in Windsor, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-oriented, and integrity-driven values.

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or authorized personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at a government corrections location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned facilities, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor and control access to designated areas, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized entry attempts or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and emergency response procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required documentation related to patrols, incidents, observations, and shift activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
