Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Route Patrol Driver in Marion, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government corrections location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to situations with professionalism, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This driving post requires a valid driver's license and offers the opportunity to work with an agile, reliable, innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTime Mon 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM Tue 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM Sun 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to facility staff, visitors, and authorized personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, and access points to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor activity, incidents, and patrol observations in accordance with site requirements.
• Maintain assigned equipment and complete required reports, logs, and communications while supporting a professional, orderly correctional government facility environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
