Job summary

Allied Universal in Boston, MA seeks a Security Officer Armed Protective Patrol to monitor and safeguard clients across industries, including financial institutions. You will patrol assigned areas, deter incidents, and support a secure environment with clear communication and excellent customer service.

Full-time position with daytime shifts and $25.00 per hour. Requirements include a concealed carry permit, at least 1 year of armed security or related experience, being 21+, a high school

Qualifications

• Concealed carry weapons permit required.
• At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, and customers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, financial institution policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, access points, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify visitor credentials, and maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.
• Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and follow all applicable laws, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal policies for armed security-related duties.

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
