Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer for a permanent hospital assignment in Land O Lakes, FL. The role involves protecting clients in various government facilities and maintaining a professional, proactive security presence.

You will perform armed patrols, control access, respond to incidents, and deliver high-quality customer service while adhering to all laws and company policies. The position is full-time with a competitive pay rate and benefits.

Qualifications

• Armed Guard Card or License required.
• Corrections Officer License required.
• Law Enforcement Officer License required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Background investigation and drug screen required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and public at government facilities by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate county personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, parking areas, access points, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor activity, incidents, and patrol observations in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain readiness of assigned equipment and follow all applicable laws, regulations, and Allied Universal policies related to armed duties.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $23.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Thur 06:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sat 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Possess a Corrections Officer License.
• Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
• Handcuffing Certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
