Qualifications

• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and county facility personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, maintaining a professional presence at public-facing facilities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting emergency services and/or appropriate personnel as required.
• Prepare clear, timely reports of incidents, observations, patrol activities, and security-related concerns, and operate assigned equipment in accordance with policy.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Response in Land O Lakes, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Sunday 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Possess a Corrections Officer License.
• Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
• Possess CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
