As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout assigned areas, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. What You’ll Do

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor for and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and/or disruptions within the location.
Carry and responsibly handle assigned firearms in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed during incidents.
Follow all Allied Universal protocols and client-specific instructions while on duty.

Minimum Requirements

Must have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and provide proof as required by the client.
Must possess a valid Corrections Officer License and/or Law Enforcement Officer License.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
