What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff while carrying out site-specific, security-related procedures and policies at a government services location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior areas, exterior grounds, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions requiring attention.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting unusual incidents, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain professional communication with site representatives, members of the public, and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
