Job summary

Allied Universal in Bronx, NY is seeking a Security Officer Armed Perimeter Security. You will patrol and protect client sites, deter incidents, and respond professionally while delivering excellent customer service and upholding our values.

Requirements include a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit, NYS Security Guard License, Armed Guard Card, and at least 6 months' armed security or military experience; must be 21+; background check and drug screen required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

As a Security Officer Armed Perimeter Security in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Armed Patrol Officer, you will monitor and patrol assigned locations, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to situations as they arise. You will provide exceptional customer service, clear communication, and support for site operations while upholding Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, care, and integrity.

Pay Rate: $33.70 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Tue: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sat: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sun: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the business location, perimeter, and assigned areas to help identify and report unusual activity or potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe people, vehicles, and property within assigned patrol areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift records accurately and promptly.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
