As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Threat Deterrence in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service. You will help maintain a welcoming environment through clear communication, sound judgment, and teamwork. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document and report observations according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, following established procedures for visitors, deliveries, employees, and contractors.
• Maintain awareness of assigned areas, report hazards or unusual conditions, and coordinate with appropriate personnel and law enforcement when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be able to lift more than 20 pounds, preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
