Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Part Time Security Officer in Manassas, VA. You will perform unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and provide excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology, media, and telecom location.

Flexibility to build a schedule using our shift platform and a focus on safety and incident response are key. A high school diploma is required, and background checks along with drug screening may be conducted.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed.
• Background check and drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and document observations.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking facilities, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with badge verification and directions.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Tue 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, office areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with badge verification, directions, and reporting suspicious activity.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation while communicating relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
