Allied Universal in Polkton, NC is seeking a Security Officer Armed Patrol Route Driver. You will perform armed patrols, control access, and respond to incidents at a government correctional location while delivering professional customer service.

The role requires a valid driver’s license and an armed guard card is preferred; you must be 21+, have a high school diploma, and pass a background check and drug screen. Full-time schedule with evening/night shifts.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Route Driver in Polkton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government corrections environment, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. A valid driver’s license is required for this driving post. Deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-oriented, and integrity-driven values.

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, residents, visitors, and other stakeholders by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a government correctional location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, parking areas, and access points to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points, verify authorized access, inspect credentials and/or vehicles as directed, and report irregularities according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate with appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
• Maintain detailed activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and operate assigned communications equipment in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
