Responsibilities

Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Operations Driver in Polkton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with professionalism and integrity. This driving position offers the opportunity to provide outstanding customer service, clear communication, and support to staff and visitors while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Time Mon 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM Wed 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM Sat 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and individuals at a government corrections location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized entry attempts, suspicious activity, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and applicable protocols.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required documentation regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
