Allied Universal in Polkton, NC is seeking a Security Officer Armed Driver to protect government facilities and staff. This full-time driving position requires a valid driver’s license and an armed guard card is preferred.

• Handle equipment per post orders and company policies.

You will conduct routine armed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM
• Fri 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM
• Sun 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and other authorized individuals while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, buildings, access points, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and applicable procedures.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorization as directed, and document visitor activity, incidents, and patrol observations in required reports.
• Maintain required qualifications and handle assigned equipment in accordance with post orders, company policy, and applicable laws and regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
