Job summary

Allied Universal in Burgaw, NC is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Armed Route Patrol Driver to safeguard government facilities and support a professional, customer-focused team. As an armed patrol officer, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, respond to incidents, and ensure compliance with post orders and laws while delivering excellent service to staff and visitors.

This position requires an active armed guard card, valid driver’s license, minimum 6 months

Qualifications

• Armed guard card or license is required.
• At least 6 months armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required by Allied Universal policy.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• Background check will be conducted per federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

• Conduct regular armed patrols of buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, and access points to deter unauthorized activity.

• Monitor entry/exit activity, verify credentials, and document observations and reports.
• Maintain proficiency with equipment and comply with laws, policies, and post orders.

As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Route Patrol Driver in Burgaw, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government corrections location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and armed credentials. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication while supporting a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel at a government corrections location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, and access points to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and authorization, and document observations, incidents, and required reports accurately.
• Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and follow applicable laws, policies, and procedures related to the armed patrol post.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
