Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Armed Patrol in Maury, NC. You will safeguard clients across government and other sectors, perform regular armed patrols, deter incidents, and respond to security concerns with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and individuals in custody by following site policies and, when needed, emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of designated areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verify credentials, report suspicious activity.
• Respond calmly to incidents and disturbances following post orders and escalation procedures.
• Prepare incident reports and logs; communicate observations to supervisors.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or individuals in custody by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned correctional facility areas, grounds, access points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and/or unauthorized entry attempts.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and related documentation; communicate observations and concerns to designated facility personnel and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements

• An Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
