• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements may be required before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and individuals in custody by following security procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of facility areas, grounds, access points and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and report suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances calmly, following post orders and escalation procedures.
• Prepare clear incident reports and patrol logs; communicate observations to supervision.

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or individuals in custody by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned correctional facility areas, grounds, access points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and/or unauthorized entry attempts.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and related documentation; communicate observations and concerns to designated facility personnel and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• An Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
