Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol in Houston, TX. The role offers flexible fixed shifts and an Earn More program with opportunities to pick up additional shifts across sites. Pay is $16.48 per hour with a schedule including DayTime and a 10:00 PM–06:00 AM shift.

You may work up to 40 hours per week and advance toward full-time opportunities. Responsibilities include handling security procedures, responding to incidents, patrolling, and reporting

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of security-related experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers while following site-specific security procedures.
• Serve as an armed security professional in accordance with laws and company policy.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and other critical situations calmly and promptly.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of designated areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Document patrols and incidents accurately using required reporting tools.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Incident Management in Houston, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.48 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeWed10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or drivers by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access‑control policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Serve as an armed security professional in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site‑specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as required.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of manufacturing areas, warehouse spaces, parking areas, entry points, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Document patrols, incidents, visitor activity, and security‑related observations accurately and promptly using required reporting tools.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess supervisory experience.
• Possess at least 5 years of security‑related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
