• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation as per laws.
• Criminal histories considered as allowed by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a utilities location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facility buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and following site protocols.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and maintain awareness of vehicle and pedestrian activity entering or leaving the location.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations and concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour

• Mon 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Tue 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Wed 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Thur 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sun 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and maintain awareness of vehicle and pedestrian activity entering or leaving the location.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance or security-related concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
