Job summary

Allied Universal in Nashville, TN is seeking an Armed Patrol Security Officer to protect client facilities, conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, deter incidents, and respond to emergencies with professional customer service.

Requirements include at least 1 year of armed security or related experience, a high school diploma, and successful background and drug screening; this is a full-time role at $23 per hour.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Must be 21+ years old for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a utilities location while following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and per site protocol.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of facilities and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor restricted access points, verify credentials, and document activity.
• Prepare incident and patrol reports and communicate with site contacts and leadership.

Job Schedule:

• Mon 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients at a utilities location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of utility facilities, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site requirements.
• Prepare accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrols, and other security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
