Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or batons is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Background check will be conducted per laws.
• Drug screen required as applicable.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• A valid driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, grounds, equipment areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site policies.
• Prepare accurate reports for incidents, observations, patrol activities, and unusual conditions, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or batons is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
