Job summary

Allied Universal®—North America’s leading security and facility services company—seeks a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Charlotte, NC. This full-time role pays $29.40 per hour and involves patrols, access control, and incident response within a financial institution setting.

You will provide customer service to employees and visitors, monitor entry points, and prepare detailed incident reports while following site procedures and escalation protocols. A background check is required.

Qualifications

• Armed guard card or license preferred.
• At least four years of military or law enforcement experience or a criminal justice degree.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screening will be conducted as required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and customers at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry to restricted areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of the facility, ATM areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner with escalation and reporting.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of observations, incidents, and security-related activities, and communicate to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and customers at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry to restricted areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, ATM areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of observations, incidents, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least four years of military or law enforcement experience or a criminal justice degree.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
