Qualifications

• At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening will be conducted as required by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state and may be required prior to employment.

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Access Control in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will maintain a visible presence, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and respond to incidents with integrity and care. What You’ll Do:

• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facility buildings, substations, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for employees, vendors, contractors, and visitors in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required records related to patrols, incidents, access activity, and security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
