Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Armed Patrol) for the Jacksonville, FL area. You will perform armed patrols at a utility location, maintain a visible presence, and respond to alarms and incidents while delivering strong customer service to personnel and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while following site-specific security procedures and access requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, outages, and critical situations calmly per escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of facilities and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors.
• Document patrol observations and incidents in reports and communicate to site leadership.

You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to situations, and deliver exceptional customer service. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, outages, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of utility facilities, substations, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors entering restricted operational areas.
• Document patrol observations, incidents, and unusual conditions in required reports and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
