Job summary

Allied Universal in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an Armed Patrol Security Officer focused on access control at a utilities site. You will perform regular armed patrols, monitor entrances, respond to incidents, and provide professional customer service to employees and visitors.

The role is full-time with weekday day shifts scheduled 09:00 AM – 05:00 PM, requiring at least 1 year of armed security experience and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required records related to patrols, incidents, access activity, and security-related concerns.

Job Description
