Allied Universal is hiring an Armed Patrol Emergency Readiness Security Officer in Fairfax, VA to safeguard patients, visitors, and staff at a healthcare location. You will conduct routine armed patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents following post orders and safety protocols.

Requirements include at least 2 years of security experience, a valid armed guard card or license, and a high school diploma. CPR/First Aid is preferred.

Qualifications

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Emergency Readiness in Fairfax, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication to patients, visitors, and staff. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical-related disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and escalation protocols.


• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.


• Monitor access points and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.


• Maintain required armed post qualifications and follow applicable laws, company procedures, and site-specific requirements for assigned equipment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.


• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.


• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.


• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.


• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
