Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid armed guard card or license is required.
• Be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations calmly and in accordance with procedures.
• Conduct regular armed patrols in healthcare buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management and access-control procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations and security concerns to site leadership or law enforcement as appropriate.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate resources.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout healthcare buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, credential verification, and access-control procedures in accordance with site policies.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to site leadership and/or law enforcement as appropriate.
  
  

Minimum Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid armed guard card or license is required.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and batons is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
