Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Armed Security Officer in Locust Grove, VA. You will perform armed patrols, monitor access, and respond to alarms while delivering excellent guest and staff service.

• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally; contact emergency services as needed.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity per site procedures and guide visitors as needed.
• Prepare clear patrol and incident reports and communicate findings to leadership and site contacts.

You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service to guests and staff. This driving position requires an armed guard card/license and a valid driver’s license meeting Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements. Pay Rate: $22.28 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
• Sun: 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service to residents, guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a resort-style residential community.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of community roadways, common areas, amenities, facilities, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; contact emergency services and/or appropriate personnel as needed.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, providing directions and assistance while helping to maintain orderly entry and exit.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card or license is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
