Allied Universal in Locust Grove, Virginia seeks an armed Security Officer (Part Time) to protect guests, residents, and staff across resort-style properties. You will conduct armed vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and provide professional customer service while following site policies and laws.

This position offers a consistent weekend schedule (Sat 7:00 PM–7:00 AM and Sun 7:00 PM–7:00 AM) and pay of $20.16 per hour.

Qualifications

• Armed Guard Card or License is required.
• Valid driver’s license required per policy.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check as per federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required only for driving positions.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to guests, residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out armed security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following applicable laws, procedures, and use-of-force guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of resort grounds, lodging areas, recreational spaces, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership, location management, emergency responders, and other authorized personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
