Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Part Time Patrol Access Control in Alexandria, VA to safeguard government sites and facilities. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and authorized contractors while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for individuals and vehicles entering restricted areas, following applicable site policies and post orders.
• Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and authorized site representatives.

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide professional customer service. You will communicate clearly with visitors and staff while contributing to a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity.

• Sat: 05:00 PM - 05:00 AM
• Sun: 05:00 PM - 05:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Have at least 3 years of security-related, law enforcement, military police, or military experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have access control or badge experience, preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
