Job summary

Allied Universal in Mission, TX is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer – Armed Patrol Driver License Required. You will provide customer service to store customers, employees, and visitors, perform armed patrols, respond to incidents, and deter security concerns.

This position requires a valid Texas driver’s license, Level III Armed Certification, being at least 21, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to store customers, employees, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner, including contacting law enforcement or emergency services.
• Conduct regular armed patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe for suspicious activity, assisting with protection of merchandise, property, and personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations and incidents to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to store customers, employees, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including contacting law enforcement and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe for suspicious activity, and assist with the protection of merchandise, property, and personnel in accordance with site procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas.
• An Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
