Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Mobile Patrol in Houston, TX. You will safeguard government facilities, carry out armed patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents while delivering professional customer service.

The role requires an Armed Guard Card, Texas Level III certification, and 3–5 years of armed security or related experience, with a valid driver’s license for driving positions. Full-time schedule with diverse shifts is provided.

Qualifications

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be a certified law enforcement graduate.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Criminal histories considered with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Industry-specific security training required.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local regulations.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, following site-specific procedures for visitors, deliveries, employees, and contractors.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner; notify appropriate personnel and public emergency services when required.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs, incident documentation, and daily shift records.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Mobile Patrol in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond professionally to security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service, clear communication, and dependable support while upholding Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity. This armed role requires a valid Level III Armed Certification.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be a certified law enforcement graduate.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
