Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks an Armed Security Officer in New Orleans, LA. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, deter incidents, and provide professional customer service while maintaining a welcoming environment.

This full-time role requires an armed guard license, 21+ years of age, a high school diploma, background check, and drug screen. Training, growth opportunities, and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Armed guard license/permit required.
• Must be 21+ years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Possess a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.
• Complete industry security training programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or other authorized personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of commercial real estate buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as required, and assist with directing authorized visitors and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; contact appropriate emergency services and/or site representatives when needed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs regarding patrols, incidents, access activity, and other security-related observations.

Security Officer Armed Full Time Patrol Observation in New Orleans, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

• Mon: 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM
• Tue: 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM
• Wed: 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM
• Thur: 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM
• Fri: 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
