Allied Universal in Columbia, SC is seeking a part-time Security Officer Armed for a government site. You will provide customer service, respond to incidents, and conduct armed patrols while maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents.

Minimum requirements include 3+ years security/military/law enforcement experience or a college degree, an armed guard card, and 21+ years of age for armed roles. A background check and drug screen are required where allowed by law.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.96 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
• Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
