Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements: Armed guard card or license.

• Access control and/or badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation as required by laws.
• Past criminal histories considered with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Industry-specific security training programs required.
• Licensing requirements may be required.

Responsibilities

Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Full Time Mobile Patrol in Alexandria, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while responding to evolving needs. Pay Rate: $24.85 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at commuter rail facilities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of station areas, platforms, parking locations, rail-related property, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned locations, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Maintain required armed post equipment and complete accurate activity, incident, and patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
