Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a part-time Security Officer Armed Patrol Readiness in Fairfax, VA. You will protect patients, staff and visitors across healthcare locations with professional customer service and vigilant observation.

In this role, you’ll conduct regular armed patrols, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and prepare clear incident reports.

Qualifications

• Possess 2+ years of security-related experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation and drug screen.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and support visitor, patient, and staff access procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports and communicate concerns to appropriate personnel.

As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with professionalism and care. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $22.88 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and support visitor, patient, and staff access procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate concerns to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 2+ years of security-related experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
