Responsibilities

As a Security Officer Full Time Armed in Minneapolis, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a critical utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting site operations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors at a utility location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, perimeter areas, parking areas, and other assigned property to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorizations, and maintain awareness of vehicle and pedestrian activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate with site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation related to patrols, incidents, access activity, and other security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least two years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
