As a Security Officer Armed in Minneapolis, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a utilities location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a utility location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, grounds, perimeter areas, parking locations, and other assigned areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and coordinating with appropriate internal contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, contractors, and vehicles in accordance with site requirements.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 2+ years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
