Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in North Las Vegas, NV. This role offers flexible fixed shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through the scheduling platform.

Ideal for gaining experience or progressing to a full-time career in security services. Pay rate is $20.34 per hour and requires armed guard credentials, a high school diploma, and compliance with background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of armed guard, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Armed Guard Card or License required.
• Must be 21+ years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks conducted in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

As a Security Officer Armed Enhanced Part Time Patrol Readiness in North Las Vegas, NV, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.34 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 07:15 AM - 05:15 PM
• Fri: 07:45 AM - 05:45 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and actions in accordance with site requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized entry attempts or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain required firearms qualifications and follow applicable laws, post orders, and Allied Universal policies regarding the authorized carrying and handling of assigned equipment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of armed guard, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
