Allied Universal is seeking a part‑time armed Security Officer in Las Vegas, NV. The role offers fixed anchor shifts with potential to pick up extra shifts, ensuring reliable base hours and additional earnings through the scheduling platform.

You will perform armed patrols, respond to incidents, and uphold site policies while delivering customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and staff. A valid armed guard card, 21+ age, and background check are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Armed guard card or license required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff by carrying out security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and medical situations calmly and following procedures.
• Conduct armed patrols of assigned areas including retail common areas and perimeters.
• Monitor for suspicious activity and policy violations and document incidents.
• Maintain professional communication with law enforcement and security personnel as needed.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail common areas, parking lots, exterior perimeters, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations; report observations and complete required incident documentation.
• Maintain a professional presence while communicating with law enforcement, emergency responders, mall management, and/or retail personnel as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security‑related experience, or a college degree.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
