As a Security Officer Armed Enhanced Part Time Patrol Driver Readiness in San Antonio, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and/or service providers by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a shelter location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including building entrances, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter boundaries, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and document visitor, resident, and/or vendor activity as required.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
• Carry authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site‑specific procedures; complete accurate activity and incident reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
