Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer for a part-time day shift in San Antonio, Texas. You will be responsible for patrolling, safeguarding residents, staff, and visitors, and responding to incidents with a professional demeanor.

A valid armed guard card/license and driver’s license are required. The role emphasizes customer service, adherence to site procedures, and the company’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
• 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5 years of armed security experience.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen may be required.
• State/local licensing requirements may apply.

As an Armed Patrol Officer at a shelter location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This driving post requires an armed guard card/license and a valid driver’s license. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a shelter location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including building entrances, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions requiring attention.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify authorization for entry when applicable, and document visitor activity, incidents, observations, and actions taken in required reports.
• Carry and maintain authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
• Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
