Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in San Antonio, TX. This flexible, dependable role is designed to supplement income while gaining hands-on security experience with the industry leader.

You will work fixed anchor shifts and have opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform, with a path to a full-time schedule. A high school diploma, 18+ (21+ for armed roles), background check, and valid driver’s license are required.

Job Description

Life doesn’t always follow a fixed schedule. That’s why we created the Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands‑on experience, or work toward a full‑time career with the industry leader.

As a Security Officer - Part Time Patrol in San Antonio, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

DayTime Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site‑specific, security‑related procedures, policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access control systems, verify credentials, and manage authorized entry and exit in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access‑related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
• Maintain accurate access logs, visitor records, and incident documentation as required by site policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, the business, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
