Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Criminal histories reviewed per applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and vendors while following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; communicate observations to campus contacts and responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and assist with visitor directions and campus information.
• Document incidents and patrol activities per site reporting procedures.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate observations and concerns to appropriate campus contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify credentials when required, and assist with visitor directions and campus information.
• Document incidents, patrol activities, and unusual conditions in accordance with site-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
